"Spring is when you feel like whistling even with a shoe full of slush"

 ~Doug Larson

Oh my gosh! I love this quote....it perfectly sums up what has been happening in Vancouver. We have glimmers of Spring with afternoon sunshine and then find frost covered crocus on our early morning walks. Winter does not want to let go but Spring is persistent......Thank goodness!

Those sun filled days feel like a wonderful gift....it's time to come out of hibernation to whistle and dance!

Spring Equinox is just around the corner. March 20th marks the official first day of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere.

I'm looking forward to more hours of daylight, tree branches budding, and the smell of fresh cut grass (as long as someone else is cutting it).  What are you looking forward to?  How will you celebrate the arrival of Spring?

Inspiration for Easter Brunch

Preparing for Easter Brunch
Our family will be gathering at our home for Easter Brunch this year. I have no idea what we will be serving for food but I am totally on top of the decorations!

I thought it would be fun to plant a few small pots with grass and flowers to celebrate the season. One flower pot will be placed on each plate at the table.

It was a quick and easy project that I could prepare in advance. I gathered my supplies and simply played in the dirt!
