Craft Closet Makeover - Declutter and Organize

Happy New Year!
We are sending you a very warm new year welcome and hope you will pour yourself a fresh cup of coffee, find a quiet place to sit, and enjoy a few moments to yourself as you read.

Fresh beginnings can happen any time of the year but most of us focus on the calendar date of January 1st. I too have focused on this date as a deadline....a point in time that if crossed before all of my ducks are in a row for the next year, all "heck" will break loose and the time will have passed to set new goals and aspirations. This is silly of course because a new beginning can start any day of the year. That is what I am telling myself this year.  When the plans are ready we just have to start. And sometimes in order to get the right plan....it takes a little longer!

While contemplating our plan for 2018, I began a declutter mission in our house and in the studio. I'm sharing one of those declutter projects with you today....the good, the bad, and the ugly!

Cleaning and Organizing
We remodeled our house almost 3 years ago and at that time I claimed a small closet in our TV room as my "gift wrapping station." I dreamed of a place where my ribbons were beautifully stored and every supply that I needed would be at my fingertips. That project never took shape and the closet became a "storage unit" for all things we didn't know what to do with.

After the mess and disorganization of our of Christmas wrapping supplies, and our gift wrapping inspiration in our last newsletter, I had a renewed focus on that closet.
