Oh my Goodness! It has been a very busy month at the Farm and the Studio. An Outdoor cooking class, an international quilt reunion, guests from around the world, and Portland Textile Month Workshops. And...it's not over yet! Now we are preparing for Open Studios and First Friday at Burnt Bridge Cellars.

But first...I would like to introduce you to The Shanghai Quilters.

Twenty one women from around the world came to Vancouver last weekend for a reunion in our barn. We were all expats living in China during a time span of 2006 - 2017. Friendships were built one stitch at a time as we met once a week in someone's home in a city of 25 million people. We keep in touch through a private social media group. Two years ago, 14 of us met in Holland for our first official reunion.

Chefs Jaret and Mona and the team from Tournantpdx were at the farm a few weeks ago. They lead a Farm to Fire Cooking class for 32 eager students.
