Catherine Sprod is a professional home stylist who understands that builder-basic homes don’t need to be ordinary. Designer kitchens and custom renovations are things that many of us dream of, but they are not necessarily the things that make a space exceptional.

How do you ensure success when taking on a project?

"I ask a lot of questions,” says Catherine, about her initial meeting with clients. “I don’t work for people; I work with them. Finding out about people’s personalities, style, and routines is an essential part of helping people create beautiful and functional spaces."

What is the secret for changing a home from ordinary to extraordinary?

“Any space has the potential to be a great space - the key is to make it work for the people who live in that home. The things around them, the furniture layout, where and how art is hung – it’s all important – and making all those things work together is the key.”

And what does Catherine love most about her work?

“The greatest joy is visiting a client in their fresh space and seeing how perfectly comfortable they feel. I know it the minute I walk in the door!”
